Features

This three* bedroom two full bathroom condominium is centrally located in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood.

The mid-century high rise was designed by the architectural firm of Jones & Emmons and built by Joseph Eichler, one of the nation’s most influential builders of modern homes during the 1960’s. The structure was very innovative for the time, being made of concrete, with radiant heat and floor to ceiling glass in all of the main rooms. Because it is a concrete building (ceilings, floors and main walls in each unit), #601 is very quiet.

The unit has new double paned glass doors and side windows in the living room.  It’s one of the few units in the building with dual sliding doors that when open, creates approximately 8’ of open access to the terrace.  From the balcony you overlook another Eichler neighborhood located across the street, a low rise development with fountains, trees and green foliage.

66 Cleary Court contains 150 units on eighteen floors.  There are fifteen floors of residential space and the lower three levels are parking.  This unit has one deeded parking space.

The building is one of the best expressions of mid-century architecture and development rarely available in San Francisco.

Located on the sixth floor, this serene, open floor plan unit with southern views has been completely renovated.

The attention to detail is everywhere from top of the line finishes, wool draperies, solar blinds, custom cabinetry, porcelain floor and wall tiles along with stainless steel kitchen and living room track lighting.  To maximize space, custom sliding pocket interior doors were built in, adding privacy and eliminates typical swinging doors.

Other custom details include an open kitchen with under counter lighting with corian counter tops, including a waterfall edge island.  The appliances are stainless steel including Bosch refrigerator and dishwasher, Thermador oven, microwave and induction stovetop, as well as in unit Bosch washer and dryer.  There is ample storage and a new electrical panel inside the unit.

The building underwent renovations which has been already assessed and completed.  All public areas have new carpets, paint and lighting. Each units entrance have been remodeled and updated.

HOA dues are $885.00 and includes 24-Hour Doorman, satellite Dish TV, professional management services, radiant heat, water, sports court and picnic area.

Neighborhood

Lower Pacific Heights - Japantown

Lower Pacific Heights offers home buyers a stylish, upscale-feeling neighborhood bolstered by an approachable, casual attitude. Within the confines of these blocks, you’ll find Japantown, the oldest and largest such enclave in the United States. From the spectacle of the Peace Plaza pagoda to the grandeur of St. Dominic’s Church, it really seems there’s something here for everyone. This area is a shopper’s delight, with bustling commercial centers along both Fillmore and Steiner streets. The Japan Center mall is a mecca for all things Japanese. When it comes time to eat, the possibilities are endless. Evenings see the streets fill with patrons looking to dine at one of many gastronomic destinations, or music fans lining up at the Boom Boom Room and the adjacent historic Fillmore Theater. Sundance Kabuki Cinema is a welcome addition to the neighborhood; as the largest independent theater in the city, the Kabuki screens first run features and plays host to a number of film festivals, attracting cinephiles from all over the Bay Area.

The neighborhood is home to an interesting mix of classic Victorian homes and mid-rise condo developments. As throughout much of the city, you’ll find wonderful diversity among your neighbors. You can get a picture of the sense of community that exists in this diverse pocket of the city each April during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Freeway access has been greatly improved in recent years thanks to the completion of the Octavia corridor freeway entrance, opening up the area to south and east bay commuters. If you’d like to dip your toes into the Northside life, Lower Pacific Heights is a great place to begin your search
